My website, zoeambler.com is once again alive! Revamped and glorious!! And, since some of you like it nice and cozy here in blogger, I will share my first post!
Re-opened, A blog is a blog is a blog?
I am happy to be back! I hope you all like my zombified theme. I will change it sooner or later, but you know me and my zombie love!
So, I will tell you all about my away time. It was pretty great!
First, I got an amazing antique 1948 Royal De-Luxe Portable Manual Typewriter. It is SO awesome! And it is in perfect working order. All it needed was some cleaning and TLC. I did some research on it and wow…so much history and so many wonderful authors used this particular typewriter. It makes me wish I knew who owned this one before me.
Second, my bestie came all the way out from New Mexico and stayed for 10 days. We had a ball. We kicked back and relaxed, went to the movies, went out to eat (raw and baked oysters, yum!) and we both cooked for one another.
While the bestie was here, we also got matching tattoos. Seahorses, because I love seahorses, and they make for very lovely watercolor style tattoos, which we both have been wanting. For me, it also serves to cover my self-mutilation scars on my arm.
Third, my mom came up from Guatemala for a visit. It was fantastic that my best friend was here to meet her. We had a nice dinner together and it was a lovely evening.
All my cats are doing great, except Jeff seems to be kind of cranky lately. It is not unusual to hear me in the middle of the night telling him to stop being a dick when he is growling at one of the other cats.
The only one he seems cool with is BaxterMarie.
I have been writing off and on when I have time and motivation, and I have been learning the ins and outs of this new website. I have moved my site off of WordPress servers to a different hosting site. It gives me a lot more options without paying a fortune for WordPress Business. I can use premium themes and widgets and the like. Something you have to pay a small fortune for on the WordPress server.
I am terribly behind on my pen-pal letters. I was sort of waiting for a rainy day when I could sit down and type them all out on the typewriter. Remember, if you’d ever like to get snail mail, my address is on the Contact page. If you would like to hear from me first, just drop me a line in email. I love sending mail. Letters and cards…all very humorous.
With the re-opening of my blog, I will be hosting some interviews and guest bloggers. I am also striving to raise my post count on a weekly basis.
All this down time has given me some wonderful ideas for blog posts and picture sharing. I admit, I am a pretty lousy photographer with my phone, but I do snap a few cute pics here and there.
So we are back in the saddle again.
Also, I am open to any suggestion you all out there may have. Want a certain topic, or to ask a few questions? Hit me up! Want a little free publicity? Hit me up!
I am here for all of you. This site isn’t just about me and my stories and books. It’s about making friends, networking and helping others.
Tomorrow we will be covering a random topic. Perhaps about my gaming and RP world, or just something I pick out of a hat.
And before I sign off for now, allow me to give a big shout out to Michelle, Stephanie and Patricia, for always making sure I don’t go off the deep end. >.> Much love to you, ladies.
Be sweet, my darlings!
